Motion Frequency
Last updated 23 September 2026
Motion Frequency is a place to look and listen: moving pictures, and a hum you can tune. These terms are short. The most important part is the health and safety section, so please read that one.
The rooms in Motion Frequency flash, spin and change direction quickly, in strong colour and hard contrast. For a small number of people that can bring on a seizure — including people who have never had one before. Around 3 in 100 people with epilepsy are sensitive to light and pattern.
Stop if you feel dizzy, disoriented or unwell, if your vision alters, or if your eyes or muscles start to twitch. Cover one eye with your hand and look away from the screen; don't close both eyes, as that can make the flickering worse. If you have epilepsy, or have had a seizure before, talk to your doctor before using the app. The app shows this warning each time it opens.
Motion Frequency is for relaxation and enjoyment. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent anything. The Learn pages describe what some people believe about particular frequencies and what research has found; they are information, not advice, and nothing in the app is a substitute for a doctor.
Keep the volume at a comfortable level, especially in headphones and when listening for a long time or while falling asleep. Don't use the app while driving, operating machinery, or anywhere you need your full attention.
Motion Frequency is licensed to you through the App Store under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which applies alongside these terms. It is bought once, with no subscription and nothing to buy inside the app; Apple handles all payments and refunds.
Videos you record in the app are yours to keep, share and use as you like. The app itself — its rooms, sounds, words and design — belongs to us, and you may not copy, resell or reverse-engineer it.
We work hard to make the app reliable, but it is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for any loss that comes from using it. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have by law that cannot be limited, including your rights as a consumer in the UK or EU.
If we change these terms we'll update this page and the date at the top.
