Motion Frequency
Last updated 23 September 2026
Motion Frequency is a set of rooms of moving pictures, each with a hum you can tune. If something isn't working, the usual causes are below. If yours isn't, email hello@polson.app and we'll reply as soon as we can.
Check the volume and the ring/silent switch, and that the sound isn't playing to headphones or a speaker you've forgotten about. The app shows where it's playing when a room opens. In the sound tray, make sure Volume isn't at the bottom.
It shouldn't — the hum keeps playing with the screen locked. If a sleep timer is set (the moon at the top right), the sound fades out when it runs down; that's the timer doing its job.
Recordings are saved to your Photos library, in an album called Motion Frequency. If the app couldn't save, it's usually because photo access was turned off: in Settings, find Motion Frequency, tap Photos, and allow it to add photos.
Some rooms draw a great deal every frame. Lowering the detail settings in the room's tray — how many pieces, how deep — lightens the load. Warmth during long sessions is normal.
Please read the warning the app shows at launch. If you have epilepsy or have had a seizure, talk to your doctor before using the app. The full safety notes are in the terms.
Motion Frequency is bought once, from the App Store — there is no subscription and nothing to buy inside the app. Apple handles all payments and refunds. Ask Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com; we never see your payment details, so we can't refund you ourselves.
Motion Frequency collects nothing about you. The full policy is at polson.app/motionfrequency/privacy.
Tell us which iPhone you have, which room, and what happened — that's usually enough to work it out.
